A 16mm projector projects a loop of film of a carrot onto a screen of ground glass hanging from a string extended on a stick. An overt reference to a donkey chasing the unattainable it is a phrasing of the state of the cinema and of projection, uttered with its own grammar: the intermittent motion that is filmic projection relies on standing still in order to move forward.
