Objects that do not contain themselves

Your Penis is Perfect, edition of 10 urinal mats, 2004

When peeing, a man is afforded a brief and private ritual and a very intimate moment with his member. This urinal mat offers him a thought to consider: if men just loved their penes, perhaps the entire world would be a happier place.

These were distributed at a gay bar, a bar with an electric bull and a museum of contemporary art among other places.

White Belt, 2004

A studded white belt has certain of the 198 studs removed to label exactly what the belt is: a normalized sign declaring individuality. The alternative to the status quo as a status quo. With its tail in its mouth, it is, like the snake, the consumer Oroboros.

Medical Alert Bracelet, edition of 8, 2005

A medical alert bracelet that says "I'm Fine Thanks".
Wearing one's weakness, or one's political ideas, on one's wrist.

Magnetic Yellow Card, cyclist-intervention, 2004

"This magnet was tossed onto your car by a cyclist who felt that you might have been driving in a way that could have endangered their life. They chose to toss this magnetic note because it can neither damage your automobile, nor affix itself to rubber or glass and will therefore not affect your driving. It serves to warn you. With thoughtful contemplation and reverence for humanity, we can adjust our behavior to allow for all people to live life. This is a yellow card, let’s please not let things get to Red."
