Phosphoresce, film installation, Vienna, 2007

When the photo-timer's button is depressed, electricity is sent to three devices for a predetermined period of time. The slide projector projects an image of a "bug zapper". A loop of scratched Super 8mm film superimposes flashes of zapped bugs and a cassette player plays a loop of sound from a suburban porch complete with bugs-a-zappin'. There is something of a cinema afoot here.
